Ingredients:  

- 4 ounces of carrot juice (or a mix of carrot and orange juice)  

- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder or a 2-inch piece of fresh turmeric root, peeled and roughly chopped  

- 1 teaspoon of ginger powder or a 1/2-inch to 1-inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced  

- A pinch of black pepper  

Instructions:  

Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove solids and achieve a smooth juice consistency. Mok notes that the best ratio depends on your personal taste preferences, so feel free to adjust the ingredients. However, it’s important to keep in mind any potential health contraindications, such as interactions with medications or conditions like gallbladder issues or blood-thinning treatments.

Mok points out turmeric’s blood-thinning effects, which can interfere with medications like warfarin or impact individuals undergoing chemotherapy or immunosuppressive treatments.
